Get to know Gale Williams, Professional Bid Assistant, aspiring benefit auctioneer with Marquam Auction Agency and all-around amazing global human. Gale earned an Administration of Justice degree from Portland State University and followed that up with more than three decades in local and federal law enforcement. A true man of the world, Gale spent his career in five different locations stateside, as well as Turkey and Thailand (he speaks both Turkish and Thai!).

He’s witnessed vast wealth along with crippling poverty and strongly believes many of the world’s problems stem from a lack of understanding of other cultures and beliefs. Gale has since retired from law enforcement but not from service! An avid volunteer, he encourages his kids to give back as well, since their lives have truly been blessed. Gale leads by example and taught his kids there is no greater good than serving your country, and there are so many ways to do so.

Do-gooding Gale’s generous heart is deeply moved by orgs dedicated to human trafficking, poverty, and environmental issues – and having lost more than one friend to suicide, he’s a staunch supporter of any nonprofit dedicated to suicide prevention.

An avid traveler – last year alone, our ever energetic renaissance man vacationed in Korea and Thailand. He’s ​always​ up for an adventure! Some of Gale’s more “mellow” pursuits include deep dive research into investments, biking, hiking and billiards – he even has a pool table at home and is quite the shark! We do not recommend betting against him​.
